We went to Nakhon at Sengkang to eat Thai food. The last time I ate Red Ruby was like a few years back. The taste or texture wasn’t nice, not clear Ruby Red and too sweet. Well, so I have been looking around for that especially in Thai Retaurant. Before that, it was probably 10 years ago (considering my first job). The most food I ate were pretty simple but the Red Ruby stayed in my mind. The cup that time was small and we shared considering the amount of ice.
Nakhon had an outlet at Vivo and we used to dabao or eat there. It has the tom yam soup taste to my liking and Olive fried rice which were the only two that I usually takeaway or eat there. I think if such a good restaurant, should be good with their traditional Thai Desserts. My sis said it was not nice. Knowing my sis, I decided to order one. It came with 6 pieces of rubies on top of the shaved ice…. I was disappointed, why so little with so much ice. I tried one of the Ruby, ah ha, it’s nice. The texture, the color and the taste all matches. Not too sweet too. I slowly ate the six.l, enjoy it and I thought, there is only six until my sis said I had to mix the ice. I mixed it, more rubies at the bottom! More rubies!!! It was more than enough and I kept on fishing them out. I will go back again for their Red Rubies. Actually their food, quite tasty. I tried their Mango Sticky rice. I don’t remember about having Tapioca but I have slight memory of what I ate. Maybe I had it or had it at some other places. Mainly we just deal with lunch or some dinner. They can be out of them during the time of order. Now I know their desert is up to standard. :) I can have it the next time I go Vivo.
