Maybe that is why I never get first prize. If I got it then I can mc 1 wk. Then last week working… I will only have to go 3 days. hehehehe.  Uncle and Aunty went to buy the new expensive guitar. It was so smooth and light! But I actually liked the sound of his 80 dollar guitar which he modified himself. Uncle can play by ear but I can only play by looking at guitar tab.    I got things to do so I cannot play along for too long. Sigh.

 I really hate the Timer…. Sigh…

 Algorithm and data structure would be useful with big data. I somehow understand why now. sigh…. Counting down. I don’t know how many days left because it will be here soon. For now, I have made the right decision. Being here is the left decision. Things will be as it is as if I was never here.

 hahaha. Felt like the bowling bowl going down the drain. Much worst than I have done previously. Do people get better at algorithm and data structure after working for 2 years. I wonder in real life, do we ever use them. Especially for higher level programming language. Although I would enjoy solving problems but hm I think I needed a refresher time with Go. Next is cloud. As for algorithm and data structure maybe will keep it as a hobby. It somehow let me think more than I usually did. 😋The mascot is a Gopher. Lots for me to catch up.

 More hidden things revealed. I realised it was really foolish of me… 

 If after two years and I am still not good enough. It is considered a bad thing… I have try to start my engine with Go. The convenience of the code is a little bit too uncommon for me but I think I will work more with it. Well, too many things but just to say. Thinking back, there is really nothing. Too many things that you cannot put into words and that feels like nothing but it is everything. Gibberish. So, I shall move forward.

 It was quite often that I saw people using Window+R then cmd to open cmd prompt. Actually just Window, cmd will do. Using the search function. Comparing, I don’t have to type R right. So 1 btn less. What was the motive behind? hmmm… 

 I prefer Go over Python. Go logo is cuter. Python is a reptile. It means you will definitely survive with Go :)

 I am beginning to think all those time, my questions or answers never even reach the intended person or C  previously.  or the answer doesn’t match.

 Engineer - the one who work while everyone is working. The one who also work while everyone is not working. 

 Last Sunday, Aunty and Uncle came back from Church. They started singing at home that night. Uncle played the guitar. Aunty practiced singing the song. At times Uncle would give suggestions and then Aunty would try to follow and then finally ignored the suggestions. Hahaha. I was ironing my clothes so I just laugh quietly at them. Some songs I have never heard before. There is this one song they sang so nicely together. I wanted to record it down but when I get to the room and took my phone out, they have done singing that song. Well, I did took the next song and still nice. It is hard to find even a friend to do so but they have each other til old age and have a common interest. It just felt like a wonderful moment for me to be in that kind of atmosphere. No matter how bad the day was, a song can change everything. I just enjoyed ironing while listening.

 Lets put away everything. I needed to start focusing on what I have to do now.. Right now is to do as much as I can to get out of the tunnel. I think slow laptop will kill brain cells. Maybe that was the cause of the dizziness all along.

 Found some instant noodle. Dried Kimchi Ramen. Already ate it for dinner 3 days straight. This is even better because of real kimchi… Hope my hair not going to drop more…  It has real kimchi in it. These few days I have been really drowsy. Even felt dizzy while lying down. It has been a while since I last had this. Hm… Slept til 9 am and while watching tv, it made me felt sleepy. Went back to sleep after lunch… Woke up around 3.30 pm cause of my laundry was outside and it is going to rain. I have to take it in. Join sis watch another Korean show on tv… Then dinner… I was thinking if I should work today.  I broke the rib that hold the nose pad of my glass. Haven’t got time to get it fixed. The quick fix is using a blue tack that is white colour. Today tried using the glue that I got to fix my phone to see if that will hold it down. If really cannot, then have to find time to go to the shop to get new frame. Waste of time but no choice. 

 I think my nose wants to be home. While at home, a lady rang our doorbell and said our house was selected for some questionnaires. In the end, I got a 20 dollars ntuc voucher for answering the questions. At first a bit skeptical because out of nowhere. Only 2 out of a block were selected randomly but I think also because we were the one opening the door. Aunty and Uncle went out to look for a guitar. Only me at home. Maybe my nose was predicting the future. I smelled money maybe.  Under table cycling. Can do work and cycle at the same time. With the fan, feels like I am really cycling.

 I was ok. Then I started having runny nose out of nowhere. Normally I would still work until my nose feels ok. Someday it is more sensitive. I better go wfh else I ended up being a disease spreader or see the doc if I am still sneezing la so I can get mc and not having to work. No such luck. The runny nose subsided as I reached home. Do an ART. Negative. Best is to have so if this is considered 1 month notice, I don’t have to go to work for 5 days? or 7 days… Nobody bothered about it anymore anyway. I just want to quickly end this… Question. If today I sneezed but next day ok. Do I still go out even after I tested negative? or stay home wait till I get positive? What if I started sneezing again? With or without sneezing, I tested negative. Maybe I should find more test kits until I found the one giving me positive but it doesn’t matter right? most important is the result given by the certified clinic. Right now I have three different ones. 2 already gave me negative. Maybe I will ...

 Right now is to stay away. Just so if people pull stunt. Dunno what they will do. The only thing is to get far far away. 

 昨天梦到了地理考试。梦见自己醒来了可是发现题目一体也没有写。而且时间都快到了。考场又像我以前的小学课室。可是我坐在的不是学校的桌椅。是我现在睡的床。看着时间就要到了。我赶快的写。可是时间总比我走得快。老师就要来收了。然后还没有考完， 我开始玩游戏。那是其中考题之一。是几十颗很大很大的糖果，软糖和巧克力。手上也有，要将手上的糖果丢出去然后将前面的形成一行就会有分数。我就一直玩然后就醒了。

Then build the application. It died three times. Closed all the logs I was referring to. The build failed a few times until the only application running was the two apps. It became ok. I looked at the time, it was almost 11am… That’s when I realised nothing useful have been done for the past 2 hours. Shall I kept on wasting time or shall I just move on to do the things I wanted to do. It could be far better than waiting and debugging an app to run. I missed out a lot. I think I better quit to catch up on ...

 但是忙不起来。想现在就放弃了。我打开了电脑。打开VS。等它开好我已经累了。然后想log一些东西。本来是今天要log好。结果。。。已经快10点了。一个build就跑了3-5分钟。在build另一个，应为太久了还有我肚子痛就跑厕所。回来后不但没有build好，反而还被自动停止。Sigh。一直想看的log，好像需要10 年一样。我累了。就把电脑关了。都快11点了。什么也没做。。。 早知道直接睡还更好。😶

 Don’t make noise. Don’t communicate was the correct way. Just leave everything as it was and probably it will be better. At least don’t let the improvement make matter worst. Shouldn’t have done the first project or the eventual ones. Actually I dug my own grave to begin with. 😮‍💨 Time wasted… Were all software fields like this? hm… or just here… I think I understand why people leave without negotiation because if it can be solved, it would be a long long time ago right? 😮‍💨 How do we judge doing more or doing less? 😮‍💨 Finally I managed to get a good response… Score 1 point today for this one. Do walk in front of me. I may need a guide. Do walk behind me. I may need a support. Do walk beside me. Just be my friend. A twist. Sometimes, we may know more, we lead. Sometimes, we may know less, we follow. Sometimes, we needed not just these. We needed someone who would understand. At times, we have none of this and you have to split personalities.

Here is MacBook screenshot shortcut keys. Here is Logitech G604 shortcut keys setting. Top buttons: Copy, Paste, Next Tab. Bottom buttons: Screenshot full, Screenshot selected area, Spotlight. There are two more buttons which I would set for Windows: Task Manager (To kill task) and Show Desktop.   The ergonomic mouse that I have do not have these buttons (only two extras so I go for Copy and Paste).   Perks: No need to remember any shortcuts for different OS and let my left thumb do some work.   I tried not to put destructive functions like cut or delete because I might suddenly delete a file too easily. Another is not to set different function for different OS. You might not remember what you have set. Standardisation is the way.  Different people worked different way with their computers, I think can set it to functions that you used more often. Like start command line, open new folder, open new tab (Google stuff) and so on. I lazy open Window...

Practice making the perfect mistake. :) I can't learn all the shortcut keys but if anyone wants, actually we can extend our keyboard buttons. That with just one click we can do all the common shortcuts that we want. For instance, instead of using Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V, I replaced it with the 2 buttons on my mouse. Ctrl on windows and Cmd on MacBook. The keys were not always in the same place which I have a hard time because my Ctrl key was the second key from the left on my company laptop but the first on my own laptop while MacBook was the fourth from the left. When I pressed the wrong key was the worst and do the wrong action was the worst. The mouse was the best. My other mouse have 6 programmable buttons. Everything is 1 click away. So it is good to consider the mouse. If the mouse won't work, then find the extendable keys. Just a few extra buttons from the current keyboards but I haven't bought it yet. :) Right now I have no extra space but I don't really need it for ...

Aunty would cook special dinner and she would do after she asked if I would ot or not. Today's Wintermelon soup with dumpling. One of the lucky day to get to eat. Anyway, I would ot at home. I just remember an instance while queuing at 7-11. The queue was long. While nearing the cashier, a guy entered through the door and cut in front of me. Well, I did't say anything. Not sure if he was crazy but I definitely won't win if I have to fight him. Sometimes, I do think I might win but I am tired to handle these things. Just let it be. The funny thing was, he asked the cashier lots of question and eventually pay for the thing he bought. When the cashier finds him his change, he said he gave him new notes, so he wants new coins. ? all over our heads. That's what I would do when I was a kid but I always wanted the new coins no matter what notes I gave. If I went to the shop, I will definitely use the old coin first but that's before I learnt coin collection. Funny to see this on a full grown man. While I was walking on the way to the MRT and in the MRT, I suddenly thought of a solution to my problem just now. Good or bad. When I reached home, I ate some junk food. Then, throw the rubbish. Took a shower. Turned on the laptop (after following lots of things on the internet on how to improve, stopped pulse secure, Teams, Mails, OneDrive, Cortana and etc from starting during startup). To add on, Stopping Teams and Mails has the greatest effect. Why? the laptop cannot handle too many task. It started one at a time. Not letting you close it also if it hasn't start up everything else. Still queuing. It would get stuck if you add more by clicking close. Then stopped responding until it finished or cleared all the tasks. Sigh. However, trying to stop the startup or not sure why even though I disabled them, Teams, OneDrive, still startup. In addition to that, since I am using the company M365 Office account to use those, it will try to connect and verify my accounts. It failed becaus...

Won't be trying to prove myself having covid or not by having covid. I do think the vaccination worked well on me. Maybe the 3 shots were too close to each other that it is almost like covid. Or I still try to stay away from people. Well, I don't have much time to care about that. This code is like hmm... Sometimes I was wondering what the hell was I thinking when I wrote it. Nobody can pull out their heart and let them see figuratively. Right or wrong actually means nothing. Do or don't means nothing much. Maybe they can make one keyboard model that typed and sounded like the old typewriter. Sometimes feels like jamming the keyboard to drown out the sounds of everything. The typewriter has that effect and I can hit all the keys as hard as I can. Used to use that in Dad office to do the account on pre-printed paper forms. No excel, no words. A bit missing those days. Well, soon it became electronic typewriter which didn't sound as much fun but they actually had the sound except for the silent keys. I like silent keys too. A bit hard to find...

I can don't eat dinner just to buy keyboard or laptop. One thing that prevents me from buying iWatch or iPad. Either one of them, I might not use it or probably stayed on the shelf. Now I tried to use my macbook pro. Scared I spoilt it if I don't use it. I spent more but it must be worth it. There was once upon a time. I saw a cheap cable. It doesn't really fit my phone. Thereafter, the original cable has problem charging it... It spoilt the port. Not really cheap or expensive. There are people who sell cheap things more expensive so the reviews count a bit. Or the trustworthiness of the shop. Sometimes, they would sell expensive things cheap. That's another story. Normally refurbish or because of cosmetic defect. 跌破眼镜literally. Went to work early morning yesterday. Thought can do more work. In the end, while picking up a thing that fell, my spec frame edge hit the table. Not my head and it cracked. Phew.. I thought the whole frame cracked because I suddenly lost sight. Find ways to fix it and it was time for work... In the end colleagues helped to find tape to hold it at least. I was hoping the last that I broke was the right side and this time was the left. The spares should be able to match now. Lucky thing was the guy who repaired the right side said "why don't I keep the left side too, You never know when you will need it. Since you already paid for it too." Yesterday was the day. I managed to fix it half blinded. The spec broke at exactly the same place last time. Now I have no more spare. Good thing about quality. I will always go back because they fixed the nose pads. It breaks so easily. They always fixed it for free. I told them it is easily broken. It is just a convent...

I am not sure what this company wants. Sigh. 

In the end, I realised the computer that I code the app with doesn't have the same issue as the shit... If different pc build it, it works differently.... It will work just as the current pc that you are building with will work. Transferred to another, it followed that pc that you have build with. Ah.... Bad news. I have to add some code to handle what the shit doesn't handle. Anyway, if use this shit not even sure if I have the time to sleep. Other sleep while waiting lor. 2 cores, one run api, one run app. I can do what. Plug in my fingers?

While eating McD, I was writing about work and the problem that I have after leaving work. I think McD has the power that I needed. Everytime I went there, while waiting for my food, I found solutions to my problem. While I have been sitting there thinking and trying out all the solutions by StackOverFlow but still doesn't work. I know I should put work aside when I am not in front of computer but actually I realised the best solution comes when I am not sitting in front of a computer. I do another search to confirm. I found the answer on the first results. Not the bug or whatever but just how the framework worked as it is. Hm. Well, but still have to write something try it out in my code for the fix. I haven't really got much time to read the book. Google is way faster. I think without Google, maybe I should really quit my job liao. Bug fixes were the best.
