Tools and Work

 Things I bought for work. Another addition of $18.60 to the lost count of things that I bought for work. USB C to HDMI adapter has ARRIVED. Previously, I bought a hoco. and it is working fine still but too bad Shopee and Lazada don’t have them. I bought UGREEN then. I am attracted to name with colours on it. Hehe. Need one at the office so that I have less thing to carry back and fro of home.



I bought another ergonomic mouse. My hand could go numb from using the mouse. Actually I have hand numb issue since young. Writing makes my hand numb. Not sure if that is normal but I do practice. I am not entirely sure if that is right hand only. When I used my left, I can write for a long long time even though the hand writing looks bad. 


Bought soldering iron and tools set. Bought HDMI to mini port display x 3. One not working anymore and that’s why I bought another 2 (UGREEN $7.48 and IVANKY) because the working laptop needed it to display on another monitor. Bought a portable monitor for $189.88 and a touch screen portable monitor for about $433 (almost buy the overpriced Asus Zen at 700). Did my research on the whatever specs that I forgot now. The specs weren’t a big difference to be doubled in price. I decided to buy Viewsonic in the end. It had a flap for standing vertically which Zen didn’t have. I have been bringing it with me to mostly onsite which I don’t have to go that often now. After I bought them… The working laptop was also not in use that much since for new things, cause I cannot use it without getting stuck… I can never open more than 2 Visual Studio and 1 Google Chrome. If I opened a Microsoft Word or Excel, be prepared to crash. That is why I bought my $2499 Legion 5 laptop. That is where all my money goes but saving me a lot of time to rest, it is all worth it. There is no point in saving 1k if it cannot last, unreliable and doesn’t work well. It saved you time to do something more worthwhile. 


And so there will be a need of USB Hub. The Legion 5 has lots of them but not going to cover all the hardwares I needed to connect. I have my own Keyboards and Mouse which each required one as well. Good thing I have HP and Targus USB Hubs. One used at home and another at the office. HP really worth the price for quality. Most of all, I guess is the safety of using them. Gives me the piece of mind and hopes their reliability don’t bailed.


I felt like I have achieved something from buying all these. If only my research would stay in my mind. I forgot all about it after buying. hehehe. I have RAM instead of Hard Drive for my brain. 


Nintendo switch, Monitor, Mechanical Keyboards, Mouse and so on… Good study. Now I am trying to figure out which Acoustic Guitar to buy. I used to think they are all the same and not until I go for an online course and while trying to compare between two guitar that I wanted to buy and realised, they could be very different. Maybe this one I really need to go to the shop so that I can listen to the sound. I don’t need it to be aesthetic (if they have that is something extra) but definitely, the sound and note it makes I truly cared about. The sounds make the playing all the more addictive and soothing.

 A bank asked me to apply for their job. I was a bit skeptical whether it was scam. After a few conversations, it seemed legit. They needed my updated resume. I didn’t have. Go back to my old canva, then dragged out the old one. I realised I have a Word document ones after I sent the pdf ones. I should have just used the Word document because it was the latest. Anyway, I don’t have finance background so I might not get it. Based on their requirements, I think there are lots of things I have not yet explored. Peculiar

 Not sure how I should feel. Good or bad. Mum used to be very good with tech. Well, yesterday, have spent two hours over the phone just to help her log in to my account. In the end, she only managed to download and update her Netflix app on her iPad. iPad actually a bit different from Android so she has lots of difficulty linking App Store is equivalent to Google Play… When I said search, she literally search by her eyes… I cannot help but laugh at myself. Programmer and code did the same. I am not around so I can only do these for her. Sigh… Should have gave her a tutorial during CNY…  My screen is back… The touch screen I bought previously so that it is easier for me to do work. The pc that I bought previously is a good investment in the end. Thank God or the manufacturer that both working fine so far.

Nutshell

 Sometimes kind of envy people who get paid for doing jobs that weren’t done. Thou shalt not envy. Came these words right after I thought so. God is reminding me what I shall do and what not. Do we always follow? Life is full of surprises and things that never happened by what you wished. Learning is always my motto. Doing what I cannot do is my goal. Else, I am actually not sure what shall I do in life. Looking for that particular company which has the same vision as me and the environment that I wished I have? Looking for that particular job that I can do forever and always my safety net? Looking for people who are like minded and work with them. Not easy. Anyway, yesterday was a deja vu. I had a similar dream and sounds like yesterday. On Wednesday, I kind of remember and then well, it did happened. I just have dreams and then it happened. This is not the first time. The world and our brain are full of mystery and wonder. How do deja vu happened. Like you are arranging your mind...
