乌龙

 Today has been a really reckless day for me. I was so happy to bring my UGREEN usb c to HDMI adapter and my mouse… Dark clouds on the sky and it hasn’t start to rain yet. Meaning I have to be quick before the heavy rain falls. As I closed the door, I looked at the clock which was 7:20 am (I was 10 mins earlier than usual. I walked to the lift, down and out of the lift, I checked my card and keys which were all in the side pocket of my backpack. 

Something didn’t feel right. My bag was light but that’s because most of the things, I have moved them to the office. I took out my umbrella because the floor was wet but I wasn’t sure if it’s raining, walked across the badminton court, I saw the bus arriving. I ran across the road, with the barrier, I had to walk the longer way but I was on time to get on the bus. The bus also waited a little and behind me was another lady rushing over as well. These days bus driver would wait if they saw you and the bus wasn’t that full. Grateful for that. The first mistake ever. 

I reached the MRT Station and I wanted to check the time and also for paying my 7-11 breakfast. Aha. My hand wasn’t holding my phone and it wasn’t on the other side pocket of my backpack. If I had followed my usual self, took out my phone to check the time or check if there is any bus while at the bus stop and not rushing to get on it, probably I would have realised, I HAVE FORGOTTEN to bring my phone with me. Should I go back? I would be late for work. A bit maybe but I hated the crowd if I am late. I felt like just forget about my phone and be at work. BUT if I didn’t bring my phone, I cannot work also, because I needed my hotspot. Actually, apart from the Table, Chair, Electricity, Toilet, Drink, Monitor and Light, every other things that I used was self supply. Without phone, I probably as good as sleeping. The bus that I just got off was still there although all passengers have alighted, the other two buses were still in front which blocked the way for other to board. I walked to the front where it would stop if the other two buses got off.

I think the bus driver remembered me. I just got off and then a few minutes later I got back in. Lucky he still there otherwise, I don’t think I can run home or don’t have the time to wait for another bus. 

The story didn’t end there. I got back home and I was 10 minutes late. I got back down and I got into another bus which was just a 3 mins wait luckily. I bought my breakfast and queue wasn’t long. Then I took the MRT to the bus stop so I can hop on the company’s bus to the office. The public bus 70, I just saw it getting out of the junction so that will be another 10 - 15 minutes late. It was already 08:10 am so maybe just wait for the 08:20 am  one and it would stop directly below the building. Then I won’t be that late. I crossed the zebra crossing and walking towards the bus stop. There I saw our company’s bus which was still waiting and the clock showed 08:12 am… Why is it still there? Traffic? The bus wasn’t full or just 2 other person sitting inside. I rushed over and hopped on. Just as I thought we were almost there, the bus driver drove right past my building… Looking at the sign which was a bit transparent because of the light, it was meant to go to the other building instead…. 😭 

I quickly alight and it was like 08:25 am. My building is a street away… 500 m? maybe. Seemed like 500 km. I walked as fast as I can…Saw mangoes along the foot path. Birds were just finished with one. Should I picked the one not eaten? nah.. It seemed big and juicy though. Just as I reached the building, the bus that I was supposed to take reached too… 😞 If I didn’t rush over twice to catch that two buses earlier on, probably, none of these would have happened. I shouldn’t have rush after all  and still be reaching on time… Moral of the story. 

Well, the China’s news on the girl who was beaten up by 9 men, suspected to be gang members, due to other news also related to them, were somehow like quiet down already. After getting caught, I wonder what will happen now. Based on the previous cases, seems like there are more than 1 victims suffering from their violence for a long long time and no justice has been given. Mostly women. Anyway, there were other victims who were men. Guess they can only pick on women. Not sure if there were death or other cases not report but they were being reported by others also since this case with clear video footage showing the man harassing the girl before the whole thing ended up with 9 men hitting the girls. It began with 1 girl but few more girls stood up for that girl. One thing I should really say, they deserved more respect to stand up to men who were taller and bigger build than them. While most guys walked away. Can see that the generations have changed. Come on, I can’t wait for one day, the girls will beat these guys the way they did to the girl when defenceless.  

Well, the other cases that I have read up, most of them got away with their crime while the victims either recover on their own or suffered from the aftermath. News… Hm… I  was let down too often when I thought there were going to get their justice but too many just quiet down and eventually no charges against them. Can see how everything was in China now. Actually I wanted to go there for their entertainment but I was worried if I would be back alive. I never dare to go there although I watched China’s entertainment show. I also worried, if I came back alive but my money gone. Or anything bad that can happen will happen in China. I know on TV there is always good stuff but who normally saw what’s on the darker side. If you have been in the light, you were probably never shown the darker side of everything. Same to Malaysia even though, I was born there. Maybe after they beat me up, I can do plastic surgery. I will make a batman or superman face then beat them up.
