I brought my nephews to walk around NTU and also IMM to buy shoes and pants. Older nephew always reminded the younger brother on certain things so they don’t really express what they want but go along with whatever we did. They are pretty mature in these kind of things which I don’t think I have when I was their age. However, the older one did buy the shoes that he has been looking for. He can save money but would spent more on the things he liked. It was like he went in and found the shoes straightaway and asked for the size. We waited quite sometimes but the guy never showed up. I really thought the shoes got sold out. The younger brother felt very bored though. Actually, more like I used to. So, I asked him to go find what he wanted. After a while he came back and said there is nothing he wanted. When we all said we will be looking together, only then he decided to look around. I think most of the time the mum bought for them. I never buy with them before and both were no longer kids. Not long ago, their height just exceeded mine. In the end, he found a pant. He looked at the size and went in to try. I thought he knew his own size. He did but I am not so sure but since he tried and said ok, we bought the pants. He wore them to sleep as his last pants were used that he didn’t brought enough for the stay and he was tired from the walk whole day. Sigh. I guess his height is not equal to knowing about all these. He is still a kid in a grown up body. I should have checked him more but the ones who went in were mostly guys so I stayed outside. While he was testing, the door was also not locked properly. The guy taking care of the fitting rooms opened his door and ask the guy in the queue to go in. I was like question mark all over… I never saw him out of the room! Has he gone somewhere? A few moment later, he walked out. ??? the guy was shocked to know he was there… Anyway, I think he didn’t know how to buy his own clothes or test them out…. The story ends that this morning his pants split. He didn’t realise that it was until we went jogging. Most likely during his sleep.
I agreed to take them jogging around a field somewhere nearby. They haven’t been there so I brought them around. 7am woke up and 7.30 am jogging. In the end, I walked most of the jog. hahaha. Maybe jog for like 200m. Then paused to a walk. After one round, two of them not sure where to go and stopped to walk back. Actually, that was my first time jogging around that area. I only jog twice ever since I moved here but I did see a lot of people jogging there. They have to walk back to find the me who was walking. Finally, older nephew knew where to jog, jogged 1 more round while me and the younger nephew walked back. Funniest thing ever. I think they were a bit like me when I first left home. I didn’t know what to order for food as my dad was the one who order food and we eat. I didn’t know what I wanted to eat. We don’t really have menu. I didn’t know how to buy my own shirts and pants as that experience was also quite little. I usually go to our wardrobe without covering where everybody’s clothes were hanged there. It was a hanging rack with wheel. I just take whatever I liked and wore. Like one whole year, only chinese new year we will buy new clothes. Only when I was a bit older, I bought a few shirts but I seldom try them out. Just pick the size of a tshirt. I guess things were still a bit similar now. Haha. Older nephew i just showed him once how to walk, he knew how to get back home without me guiding him. Grew up a lot. Learning more about what to wear and how to buy things. They get more and more uncute but I still think they are cute as if they have never grown. The ones that I used to look after all day carrying in my arms. They have grown well too. Hope we don’t spoil them. I do hope I am a better aunt. The trip to ntu, my older nephew was there when I graduate. That time he was like 10 and much shorter than I am. At the same place this time, I am the shorter one. :)
