Scam call

I got a scam call from a non +65 number… Saying he changed his phone number. I said who are you. He said why I couldn’t remember him. Nowadays, nobody will feel guilty for not knowing another person name. Some do lah and now I am old liao. Don’t remember is common that is why they use this tactic. Another stories opposing to this one.

I got a +65 number at work. I ignored since I am working also. My colleague working at the next counter, also received a phone call. She said +65 不能接哦. So she didn’t pick up the call. Then like 10-20 mins later, our other colleague who went out to dabao food came back and scold why nobody picked up her call. Hahaha. Someone legit and someone who is in the same group. Although at the time I didn’t save her number because I wasn’t sure whose number was that on whatsapp. Since I seldom contact her, I just don’t call or has the need to contact. Someone who is legit has +65. Even my grab delivery or shopee delivery got +65.

Some even has business account to scam. All appear legit but was confirmed scam. The legit ones became scams. What the world is going on?

In the end you blocked all legit people but allowing all scammers. Those scammers also feed the chain. Scam money liao then use money to buy more tools. If such operation is so common, meaning there is a whole organisation making such business and yet, not getting caught. Whole bunch of people who worked hard getting caught for a mistake. There is a whole bunch of people 100% depended on scam to survive while still harming the one who get punishment for their mistake by taking their money and mental health. This organisation is so big that nobody can catch. Hm… it means it is a really good money making business and also won’t get caught. So why people worked so hard and earn a degree or whatsoever to survive this world? The white became black and the black became white. No suspicious activity can be found from such big organization meh. Easily few thousands to millions…

Bank

A bank asked me to apply for their job. I was a bit skeptical whether it was scam. After a few conversations, it seemed legit. They needed my updated resume. I didn’t have. Go back to my old canva, then dragged out the old one. I realised I have a Word document ones after I sent the pdf ones. I should have just used the Word document because it was the latest. Anyway, I don’t have finance background so I might not get it. Based on their requirements, I think there are lots of things I have not yet explored. However, if I can finish my task earlier, maybe I can go for a test or two to see what are the skills that I lacked of. I felt a bit off because I just kept on doing uwp… I also needed to back up against my current job because I felt insecure about it, based on the recent months I was there. I am not sure if they want me there just to solve few issues then once solved then don’t need me anymore. Because every moment I was there, I felt a bit like it. They are also spending quit...

Peculiar

Not sure how I should feel. Good or bad. Mum used to be very good with tech. Well, yesterday, have spent two hours over the phone just to help her log in to my account. In the end, she only managed to download and update her Netflix app on her iPad. iPad actually a bit different from Android so she has lots of difficulty linking App Store is equivalent to Google Play… When I said search, she literally search by her eyes… I cannot help but laugh at myself. Programmer and code did the same. I am not around so I can only do these for her. Sigh… Should have gave her a tutorial during CNY…  My screen is back… The touch screen I bought previously so that it is easier for me to do work. The pc that I bought previously is a good investment in the end. Thank God or the manufacturer that both working fine so far.

Funny Things

Scam has definitely affect everyone daily like never before. When my cousin got my number and wants to connect, she put a photo on whatsapp’s profile photo and also sent me her picture to verify she wasn’t a scammer. The fact is that scammers did that too. In fact the more professional the photo was, the more likely it is a scam. When I applied a job, I will also worry it is a scam. Especially no email and I cannot find much on the internet. The only thing that makes the interview sounded right was the interview ways of speaking and a more lifelike profile picture. I chose to believe it and if it hadn’t post on mycareersfuture, I wouldn’t have believe the job was legal when email has problem. I thought email was always the sign of legitimate business or scam. In 2024, anyone can doubt now. I can receive a legitimate email or message that was scam and also non-legitimate as not scam… How inconvenient so I treated all as a scam. Better safe than sorry. Most people fell to the scam i...
