Left Eye Twitching

My left eye has been twitching since this morning. I woke up at 9am so I can start working. I stayed in bed til 9:30am. It was Not what I have in plan but the distraction from the phone is always the cause of not getting out of bed than planned. I left my phone on the bed when I realized it is taking too much time. Quickly, I have breakfast bought from 711 yesterday’s night. Coffee.

Around 10am, started up my computer. Left eye twitched non-stop. As usual, the laptop started as slow as possible because it didn’t shut down properly the night before. I was looking using my other laptop for a touchscreen monitor because I will be using it so much more at home for now due to alternate work days. My sis has no extra screen so just nice I can borrow her the smaller one which I bought earlier on, while getting another one. I needed a touchscreen monitor since I am doing something with touchscreen. There were not many to choose from and the price is definitely more expensive than a typical one. As in double the price with poorer specs. ASUS costed 699 and ViewSonic 449 after discount. Dell selling at 509 but the response time spec is slow. ASUS beat the Color gamut from the rest by a few percent. ViewSonic actually has more choices but then the better specs, it cannot be turned vertically. I was thinking if I am able to do that by modifying the stand. That’ll be too much trouble for a screen. Researching this for the night already took longer than required. I paid for the ViewSonic 1655 this morning at 439 from Shopee. 10 dollar from voucher that I have. It wasn’t the best but it should get the job done.

That being done, continued with my work, my left eye just twitched. I get my phone from the bed. Guess what? really got trouble………………… but somebody solved it before me. Sighed… Afterwards, the twitching still doesn’t go away… Hope there wasn’t more trouble. Now almost 9pm, still twitching. Maybe I never spent 439 for a monitor. My best one only 169. Then I was thinking to buy another laptop just plainly for work but fast enough to open a few more editors and leave the one given to me at home. Problem is I have one HP and one Mac at home already. Plus the company one, I have 3 laptops altogether. All in all, I have spent too much for this job. All the cables already about 100.

Also, our room space needs to be rearranged to fit me and my sis working from home. I need to get a wardrobe so that whatever on the floor can be tucked nicely. We threw all our wardrobe from the cleaning done about a year ago. Never been able to find the perfect piece that fits in. Finally I did but no time to get it done. Now, no matter what, has to be done. I spent another 160++ to buy the wardrobe. Hopefully it turned out good.

Probably spent too much that my left eye twitched and still… Please have some good news man. Tomorrow’s my day. Although I planned to work that day too… I shall call I planned to home that day since working from home.

Or I am just having enough time with my laptop. I think another reason could be the internet. It wasn’t that slow at home. Probably the network is causing the antivirus to work excessively or it just doesn’t want to be there. haha. I disabled most connection so it doesn’t seems to be slow at home.

Bank

A bank asked me to apply for their job. I was a bit skeptical whether it was scam. After a few conversations, it seemed legit. They needed my updated resume. I didn’t have. Go back to my old canva, then dragged out the old one. I realised I have a Word document ones after I sent the pdf ones. I should have just used the Word document because it was the latest. Anyway, I don’t have finance background so I might not get it. Based on their requirements, I think there are lots of things I have not yet explored. However, if I can finish my task earlier, maybe I can go for a test or two to see what are the skills that I lacked of. I felt a bit off because I just kept on doing uwp… I also needed to back up against my current job because I felt insecure about it, based on the recent months I was there. I am not sure if they want me there just to solve few issues then once solved then don’t need me anymore. Because every moment I was there, I felt a bit like it. They are also spending quit...

Peculiar

Not sure how I should feel. Good or bad. Mum used to be very good with tech. Well, yesterday, have spent two hours over the phone just to help her log in to my account. In the end, she only managed to download and update her Netflix app on her iPad. iPad actually a bit different from Android so she has lots of difficulty linking App Store is equivalent to Google Play… When I said search, she literally search by her eyes… I cannot help but laugh at myself. Programmer and code did the same. I am not around so I can only do these for her. Sigh… Should have gave her a tutorial during CNY…  My screen is back… The touch screen I bought previously so that it is easier for me to do work. The pc that I bought previously is a good investment in the end. Thank God or the manufacturer that both working fine so far.

Funny Things

Scam has definitely affect everyone daily like never before. When my cousin got my number and wants to connect, she put a photo on whatsapp’s profile photo and also sent me her picture to verify she wasn’t a scammer. The fact is that scammers did that too. In fact the more professional the photo was, the more likely it is a scam. When I applied a job, I will also worry it is a scam. Especially no email and I cannot find much on the internet. The only thing that makes the interview sounded right was the interview ways of speaking and a more lifelike profile picture. I chose to believe it and if it hadn’t post on mycareersfuture, I wouldn’t have believe the job was legal when email has problem. I thought email was always the sign of legitimate business or scam. In 2024, anyone can doubt now. I can receive a legitimate email or message that was scam and also non-legitimate as not scam… How inconvenient so I treated all as a scam. Better safe than sorry. Most people fell to the scam i...
