I decided to fix my laptop battery on the last day of the year. We want to eat steamboat for lunch to celebrate the new year but the queue was long. We ended up eating phostreet and 记得吃。

As I can't take leave to fix my laptop, I bought an electric screwdriver, extractor and drill bit, torque screwdriver, screw kit and battery. I received all of them last month and never had the time until tonight. Guess what, it doesn't work. The dead stripped screw still won't budge a bit. I borrowed an electric battery powered drill to drill the screw to make way for the extractor. Well, for both, the screw material is not hard enough to grip and gave way all the time, instead of unscrewing. I have been on it for 3 hours plus. I decided to force it open, that is no matter what, I need to change it. That one screw, even after I forced open the back cover then use plier to try to unscrew it, it won't budge at all! Then, the head of the screw came off after all the twisted and drilling...... One good thing, it is out of the way now. Tape can solve everything later on. I changed the battery, screw the rest except for that one broken head screw.

 I make it before midnight! Almost didn't make it in time. Glad I have done it before the new year begins. When I switched it on, it was all black and not responsive. I thought I broke the laptop. Restart a few more time, it didn't work as usual. I charged it but it doesn't respond. It turned out I was using an extension plug instead of my charger. I deserved that for poor housekeeping. I prayed hard and clicked the On button again. The screen lighted up and flickered a bit and then yay, the normal windows login screen.

The first thing I did was to shower during the new year.

Amount

 The amount I spent on learning before applying actually costed me more money until I do enough work. Still learning process is still needed even while working.  Doing things subconsciously can make the easiest problem complicated. Could be your old habits or subconscious typing or the auto correction? hm.. This one is more like my habit. It is a hard to catch error when we did like that. I was thinking what goes wrong and no matter what I did, it would not return my desired results. Turned the code that I wrote previously and just a line only which I overlooked while checking, was blocking the rest of the changes… Dangerous code is the counter code that you wrote to right a wrong or blocking the wrong from working.
