Today

Today, I went out to get my tracker changed. It has been less than a year and it cannot be charged. Unsure why. I didn’t wear it but it detected me walking 3000+ steps despite unable to charge. It lasted a few days without charging and maintain at the same battery level. Did I got a non rechargeable? Meaning don’t need to charge forever? hehehe. Maybe I shouldn’t have to return it. Just worries halfway through it doesn’t charge and it over the warranty date, I can’t change it. It is the first one for me so I got it for free.

As I walked towards the MRT this morning despite the haze, I saw a “stick guy” riding a bike towards me. I am unsure whether it’s a he or she but I assumed a he. He had a fitted jacket with hood. The hood covered his head and forehead. He had mask over his face and wearing sunglasses. Covered from head to toe. His whole body was like stick. Skinny to the max. He was tall so make him look even skinnier. I almost thought somebody made a robot and put it on a bike.

Then I saw a busking old lady. From afar, I thought was an old man. The voice a bit harsh and playing a guitar. That’s what I assumed. As I got closer and the guitar was good and the singing was good. I have never heard that song before. Must be from their age. It was so good that it is hard to come by and she sang it nicely. This is the second time I gave money to busker. Just 2 dollar lah. I spent 2 dollars less tomorrow.

I go on to Somerset. I cannot find the way. It says go via Exit D. After I reached Exit D, there is nothing pointing towards The CentrePoint. I walked in circles and back to the mrt entrance. In the end, I did managed to find by Google Map. Hehehe. I thought I was late but guess what? I was a day earlier. Hahaha.

I booked an appointment tomorrow which was wrong because I was working. Lucky, I managed to reschedule to today at a later timing. However, since it wasn’t crowded there, the lady said it is ok and she can take a look at it. No need to wait until 1:30 pm. It was like 12:10 pm. I lost my way for 10 minutes. She changed one for me soon enough. She got dozens of chargers and it doesn’t charged the tracker. She also checked that I collected the tracker less than a year ago. She changed for me without further question apart from verifying my id. She set the new one for me and updated it to my app. Wah. All like less than 5 mins. When I was there, there was nobody so I was the first. I took the queue number even though there is no queue. After I took it for a few seconds and they called the number. Hehehehe.

After all done, I walked around. I have not been there before I think. It is across the road. Normally at somerset, I seldom go to other buildings. I liked it because it was less crowded but songfa bakuteh was crowded. I decided not to go since I never liked queue. I am a cashier now and not pouring cold water on myself but I think cashier shouldn’t be long. By the time you were at the counter, you should have everything you needed. Paying money shouldn’t be longer than your shopping right. I spent 10 mins shopping, 10 mins paying… Actually, paying takes more time sometimes. I was regular to 711 before this. I get all my breakfast there before going to work every morning. On somedays, the queue was really fast yet on somedays, it was really really slow. Cashier was the same. Alone. The queue was long. Sometimes, the wait was too long, people before me just put down their things and went off. Normally I am early but if I am later than usual, I would do that too and try another convenient store. One time I was in a rush, glad that there is only a few people in front. The guy which the cashier is now serving asked a lot of questions and buying lots of things. I kena the hidden queue… Too bad, because it was a rush, that was the only las convenient store on my way to work. After that, I ran all the way to the bus stop to queue for company bus. The timing was all bad. Just when I reached the bus stop the bus drove off… It was all full anyway. The next one in 10 mins. Then to my surprise another company bus came my way. I quickly got on. It was the strangest journey. The bus was not familiar, the bus not crowded, and the windows are different and the path changed. It went to another department building instead of mine….  It was a whole building away from my intended building. I got 5 more mins to 8:30am. Although there is no strict requirement and it is still not nice to appear late. People see, people say despite not everyone was there at 8:30am. Probably half the office only reach there between 8:30 to 9:00am. I ran all the way with my laptops and some equipments. As I am going to pass the turnstiles, our company bus just passed by… If I have waited 10 mins, I could have saved all the hassle and hustle. Good thing, I ran a lot that day. As a customer, I don’t think I asked lots of question. I think as cashier I have more questions to ask. Like a mother to their kids. Any eVouchers, pump number, plastic bags, membership cards, payment methods, any promotion that is ongoing, and blablabla. Repeat N times. The only person you never ask, turned out to be the one you needed to ask. Most people just say no before you finished the question. I have stress to finish my sentence before their no… Ok, maybe I should be slower so I don’t have to finish the sentence. Well, could I think of better way to solve this issue? If a self service kiosk got so many question i will die. For the first time it was ok but for every single time I buy the same thing, it becomes a chore you hoped to skip. So far, I liked McDonalds. Why? I can order from my table. hehe.

Amount

The amount I spent on learning before applying actually costed me more money until I do enough work. Still learning process is still needed even while working.  Doing things subconsciously can make the easiest problem complicated. Could be your old habits or subconscious typing or the auto correction? hm.. This one is more like my habit. It is a hard to catch error when we did like that. I was thinking what goes wrong and no matter what I did, it would not return my desired results. Turned the code that I wrote previously and just a line only which I overlooked while checking, was blocking the rest of the changes… Dangerous code is the counter code that you wrote to right a wrong or blocking the wrong from working. That’s normally a temporary solution but the solution turned out to be preventing me doing other works… sigh… 😮‍💨  Today’s a lucky day and I found it while doing another part… so it is good not to always focus on one problem. The other problem could be the c...

Tools and Work

Things I bought for work. Another addition of $18.60 to the lost count of things that I bought for work. USB C to HDMI adapter has ARRIVED. Previously, I bought a hoco. and it is working fine still but too bad Shopee and Lazada don’t have them. I bought UGREEN then. I am attracted to name with colours on it. Hehe. Need one at the office so that I have less thing to carry back and fro of home. I bought another ergonomic mouse. My hand could go numb from using the mouse. Actually I have hand numb issue since young. Writing makes my hand numb. Not sure if that is normal but I do practice. I am not entirely sure if that is right hand only. When I used my left, I can write for a long long time even though the hand writing looks bad.  Bought soldering iron and tools set. Bought HDMI to mini port display x 3. One not working anymore and that’s why I bought another 2 (UGREEN $7.48 and IVANKY) because the working laptop needed it to display on another monitor. Bought a portable monito...

hmmmm

Keyboard warrior's keyboard checked. Another Jean checked. It is to make up for the pants that I spoiled two days ago. Just when I arrived at the office, I sat on a chair whereby the surface is grid-like and the  buttoned-up fake pocket button on the right side got plucked off leaving a hole a bit on the upper side of the bum. There is a flap that was together with the button. It just covers the hole a bit. I am not sure if the slit that the button goes through was big enough to see through. I tried to ensure my shirt was over the hole though at least to cover while I was not seated. It wasn't a good time. I was wondering should I just walk off to buy another pants but decided not to because we were busy. That went on for the rest of the day. A day to remember. The pants lasted 10 years. I bought it during my first job at 2011. Anyway, it was a bit tight around the waist so shouldn't have worn it at all. Although I am a bit heavier, my waist is a bit off only. I wonder if m...
