Ez-link card

 I wondered why many people go against SimplyGo. At first, I wasn’t use to the screen without remaining amount but I learnt to check the balance on my phone app. I have been topping up from my phone ever since topping up with app becomes available. I skipped queue at the machine and also not paying additional 50 cents if topping up on ATM machines.

If your amount is not enough but can see on screen, you ended up with blocking people entering.

For people who are already using it with the app, the amount is available on your phone. For people who don’t have the app, you can always ensure the amount with the top up machine. If not enough, you still need to make a move to the top up machine. It is basically the same thing. You won’t always know the amount without the app. For instance, the station double charged you, it will reflect on the app if you have it. You can view all your transactions on the phone. Like I never went out, how do they charged my ez-link card. If you have elderly parents, you can help them by adding the card to your phone. Help them top-up when it went low. Know where they have tapped in and tapped out. I wondered why people wanted to stick to ez-link card which is quite inconvenient in anyway except for showing the amount upon entrance or exit. If the country saved money on such things, you will probably gain more from it. 

I avoided queue also for topping up. Know how much I used per months. Managed a few cards because I forget where I put them so I have extra. I will know which card has the money and which doesn’t. If the government can subsidies the fee for using this platform or prevent a rising cost of ride, shouldn’t this benefit those who lived on minimal spending? Unless it was the opposite though. I guess it was also the way people conveyed the message to the public that was in a wrong way. You just stated that ezlink will no longer be working from June then on. Without giving a solution to those or advice for people who didn’t understand what just happened and thought that they are in some disadvantage. Even when I first heard, I was in a state of confusion. Not knowing how does it affect me if ez-link was not supported anymore. It was the lack of clarification or the intended scare to people for them to give a reaction they wanted.
