I think singapore buses are not use to pick up passengers but to race through traffic light. It has been quite frequent to see two buses passing at the same time or within close interval. I just saw one bus passing and few seconds later, another passed. Then you waited 10-15 minutes the least for another bus. Some bus just raced through because the bus was totally empty with no one alighting. Some just raced through when they saw green traffic light ahead. Is that even sustainable? A bus without anyone in it while another was so full. It looked especially bad when the interval was so close between this bus while the next was longer and also full of people. So the one bus that carries nobody was wasting the resource… They should have looked at the distribution of the bus not based on mileage but the passengers they carry. It wasn’t only my house but also at my workplace. Saw two buses rushed through quite frequently. Late at night, both buses were empty somemore.
